For the 5th year, Lucas Oil Center has been honored to participate in the Ton of Toys toy drive to benefit the local chapter of The Society of St. Vincent de Paul – Evansville District Council as a toy donation drop off location. This program, which partners with WIKY 104 FM, provides toys and gifts to children in families of those experiencing financial difficulties.
From Monday, November 21 to Friday, December 9, new and unwrapped toys were collected at both the East Side and West Side Lucas Oil Center locations. Children of families in need, under the age of 18 could be registered for participation. Recipients of toys resided in Gibson, Posey, Vanderburgh or Warrick counties.

St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) assisted nearly 120 families this year. Many boxes of toys were transported from the SVDP Delaware Center to the Catholic Center gymnasium where families could come and select toys for their children.

Thank you again to all those who participated and made a difference in a child’s life this Christmas. Even though SVDP is no longer accepting donations for the Ton of Toys program this year, you can still bring joy to someone and have a positive influence on our community by assisting SVDP in other ways. If you choose to make a gift to their crisis fund, food pantry or district council, it will help our local community members during this trying time with rent and utility payments, food and other expenses.
Lucas Oil Center looks forward to being a part of Ton of Toys in 2023!
