July 2022 Employees Of The Month

The purpose of the Employee of the Month Program is to recognize employees who have served in an exceptional manner by exemplifying outstanding service through his or her work and exhibiting a positive and supportive attitude. Lucas Oil Center is proud to honor this month’s employees of the month from our East side location, our West side location, and our Nitro Car Wash.

Employees who are chosen for this honor must meet certain criteria in four categories: Attitude and Commitment, People Skills, Work Performance, and Personal Traits.

Under people skills, we look at the following:

High overall quality of performance
Accurately completes work duties
Controls high stress situations tactfully and calmly
Takes initiative
Requires little supervision
Willingness to learn and take on new responsibilities
Ability to train others and gladly willing to do so
Pays attention to the details, no matter how big or small they may seem

We felt that each one of these people exemplifies these qualities, making a positive impact on both our customers and their co-workers.

Lucas Oil Center East July 2022 Employee of the Month, Stewie Hobgood, Lube Technician.

Stewie Hobgood came close last month in the voting and came through this month. Stewie has only been with the company for about 6 months but in that short time he has become one of the family. You will know Stewie with his big bright smile and outgoing personality. He is extremely knowledgeable about cars and is always willing to share that knowledge with the team.

Stewie is great with customers and gets along well with his coworkers. Stewie is described as an ethical tech who is passionate about cars, helpful to the others in the shop, and displays excellent customer service. Stewie is a tech we can see growing in the company and we can’t wait to see what his future holds with LOC!

Nitro Car Wash East July 2022 Employee of the Month, Alec Kinies, Wash Technician.

It was a unanimous vote at the Nitro Wash. Everyone voted for Alec Kinies as July Employee of the Month. Alec is described as a hard worker that is always there when he is needed. Co-workers have affectionately called Alec a reliable friend that is always willing to pick up a shift without any complaints. Alec shows true leadership through his work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to always stay busy and learn new things. You will recognize Alec in his boots and big smile when you come through the wash. Keep up the great work, Alec! We are so blessed to have you on our team!

Lucas Oil Center West July 2022 Employee of the Month, Matt Wilkey, Store Manager.

Matt Wilkey is one of our OG’s. He has been with the company for almost 10 years! Matt is a huge part of the Lucas Oil Center family. Matt started from the bottom and worked his way up. Matt is our West Side Store Manager but also plays a leadership role in all facets of the company. Matt is brought into almost every discussion related to company policy and procedure. Matt is highly respected by all and depended upon for multiple company projects and training.

Matt has been described by his employees as the hardest working guy in the room and always willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done. One employee praised Matt’s work ethic and included he will do anything from cleaning the bathrooms, pulling the weeds in the yard, and getting his hands dirty. He doesn’t ask anyone to do any job that he isn’t willing to do himself. LOC continues to be thankful for Mr. Wilkey and all the expertise he brings to the company. We look forward to many more years of working together!
