Employees of the Month | January 2023

The Employee of the Month Program aims to acknowledge employees who go above and beyond in their service and exhibit exceptional work, a positive attitude, and a supportive demeanor. Lucas Oil Center is proud to acknowledge the employees of the month from both East side and West side locations along with the Nitro Car Wash at our East side location.

To be selected for this recognition, employees must meet standards in four key areas: Attitude and Commitment, People Skills, Work Performance, and Personal Traits. We felt that these people exemplify these qualities, making a positive impact on both our customers and their co-workers.

Camden Gilles was nominated as Employee of the Month for January 2023 for the east side lube shop. Described as a diligent worker who is friendly with a positive attitude, Camden is an ace at customer service, always giving a thorough explanation and always willing to take customer questions.

Camden is also a team player who’s open to learning how he can improve. While he is one of our newer employees, we see a very bright future for him here at Lucas Oil Center. Keep it up, Camden!

Kurt Long was nominated by his co-workers as the Nitro Car Wash Employee of the Month for January 2023. A previous Employee of the Month winner, it’s no surprise he’s won it again! On any given day you can find Kurt at the car wash smiling & waving to all the customers. You can’t help but smile when you’re in his presence. He loves kids but especially all the fur babies! Kurt is always on time, extremely reliable, and everyone loves working with him.

Kurt is our top salesperson and thoroughly enjoys helping customers. It’s very important to him to build lasting relationships with customers and fellow co-workers. Kurt finds solutions to problems, never quits, and is always smiling. He is full of fun and exciting ideas and brings a contagious enthusiasm to the company! We are so blessed to have him! Keep up the great work!

Dave Bateman was nominated by his co-workers as Employee of the Month for January 2023 for the west side service center. He is a 2022 Employee of the Month, a prior Spirit Award winner, and a prior Employee of the Year winner. Dave is a staple at Lucas Oil Center and has been with us for almost 10 years! Starting his career with Lucas Oil Center at the east side lube, his expert knowledge and leadership led to him becoming a critical part of our talented team at the west side location.

Dave is genuinely one of the kindest souls you will ever meet. He is patient, enjoys teaching and helping other employees. He is also excellent with customers, delivering information with patience, and is willing to answer any questions they may have, and is happy to go the extra mile to help them in any way he can. No matter what life throws at him, Dave shows up with a smile and a fresh and encouraging perspective on life. He’s a strong leader to the younger techs and our entire company is stronger because he is a part of it. We love Dave and are so appreciative of his years of service!
